Waiting Shelters for Drax Power Station

The pictures below are of a waiting shelter which we installed for Shepherd Construction at Drax power station in October. Drax power station is a large coal-fired power station which is situated in North Yorkshire. The generating capacity of this power station is the highest in the UK and it provides about 7% of the UK's electricity supply.

They required the waiting shelter to be built because construction workers were getting wet when waiting for trains before crossing. The waiting shelter we built is approximately suitable for 30 people. Construction workers are now happy as the shelter keeps them dry and out of the weather when waiting for the trains that go by at only 5 mph due to speed restrictions on site. The workers at Shepherd Construction are building a biomass storage and handling facility for the power station.
